Where Tradition Meets Beauty

For centuries, the Berber tribes of the Atlas Mountains have carried a powerful legacy of weaving — a tradition where every knot tells a story and every rug is a piece of heritage.

In the village of Beni Imlil, this art is still alive in the hands of the women of Cooperative Adrar, who weave not only carpets, but identity, strength, and culture.

Each rug is a reflection of our land, our mountains, and our way of life — made slowly, with care, patience, and ancestral knowledge.

Where Tradition Meets Beauty

At Cooperative Adrar, every rug is handwoven on wooden looms using techniques passed down from mothers to daughters.

We work only with pure, natural wool, hand-spun and often sun-dried in the crisp air of the High Atlas.

Patterns, symbols, and colors are inspired by Amazigh identity — representing protection, femininity, hope, and connection to nature.

No factories. No machines. Only skilled craftswomen, their hands, and their stories.

THE SOFTEST WOOL — HANDPICKED IN THE HIGH ATLAS

At Cooperative Adrar, exceptional quality begins with exceptional wool.

We source only the finest fleece from High Atlas sheep — a breed renowned for its naturally silky, long, and resilient fibers.

To protect both the animals and the integrity of our craft, we pay up to four times the national average price per kilo. This allows us to support ethical shearing, fair work for shepherd families, and priority access to the longest, strongest wool available.

The result?

Wool that is luxuriously soft, incredibly durable, and remarkably low-shedding — the kind of quality that keeps your rug beautiful for many years.

This is the standard we uphold in every rug woven by the women of Cooperative Adrar:

Authentic. Ethical. Made to last.
